2016 Festival Report

A memorable tune and kilt

A memorable tune and kilt!

Thank you to all our subscribers for helping to make Music in the Hunter 2016 such a success. We were fortunate to have world-class musicians playing some of the greatest music ever written! Superimposed on these pleasures, we also enjoyed a gourmet Hunter menu and an atmosphere of great warmth and anticipation.

Thank you to all the superb artists: Goldner String Quartet (Dene Olding, violin, Irina Morozova, viola, Julian Smiles, cello, Dimity Hall, violin); Genevieve Lacey, recorders, James Crabb, classical accordion, Kirsty McCahon, double bass, Neal Peres Da Costa, harpsichord, and our inimitable pre-concert speaker, Ken Healey.

2016 guest comment: ‘This was my first experience of the full weekend of music and it was delicious. It was a weekend of feasting – on music, on fine food and being in the company of so many other dedicated music lovers. I feel sure it has touched my soul for the better! I’ll be back next year.’
